The sinewy leader has a unique–and creepy–jail for master villains and she has her sights set on Riddick. And Jackthey cross paths with a ship of body hunters and are brought on board. The captain of the ship, Chillingsworth has an interesting hobby - she captures wanted criminals and makes living statues of them.
After escaping from a desert planet, Escaped convict Richard B. Riddick and his two companions, Jack and Imam are captured by a crew of bounty hunters of the vessel "Kublah-Khan" commanded by a imperial woman named Antonia Chillingsworth and her chief henchman Junner. Riddick discovers Chillingsworth has her own museum on-board and she collects the galaxy's most-wanted criminals and instead of delivering them to penal colonies and claiming the bounty, Chillingsworth turns them into living statues and Riddick has become the latest addition to her collection.
Peter Chung's animation. Maybe I'm the only one but after seeing Aeon Flux (which the story line I liked), Alexander (anime) and that contribution to the Animatrix; his drawing style is seriously weird. There's on the one end the super-buff and super-buxom characters, on the other end you have..Chung's emaciated and stretched out characters.<br/><br/>The movie itself told us how Toombs joined the chase, how Riddick picked planet UV (and how Iman guessed where he would be) and how Jack started her career following Riddick. It could have been longer for certain considering it was supposed to keep fans entertained until COR came out but it was a good tide-me-over until the good stuff came out.
Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury: 5/10: At 30 minutes this stand alone short resembles a Saturday morning cartoon rather than a plot bridge between Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick. (And Lord knows if any movie needed a plot bridge it was Chronicles of Riddick.) <br/><br/>The animation is a mixed bag with a lot of the 3d spaceship work leaving a bit to be desired (to shiny for one thing). And while the voice work is authentic, the story is a true one off throwaway. (Hammy and very unlikely villains happen to pop by.) The story may be a throwaway but it does at least give it points for being coherent. (And Lord knows if any movie needed a coherent story it was Chronicles of Riddick) The action scenes are generally well done with a little violence thrown in for good measure. <br/><br/>Certainly one gets the gut feeling that Dark Fury could have been a lot worse. Despite the decent amount of extras the DVD doesn't really worka stand-alone product. It would however have made a fine second or third disk in the Chronicles of Riddick or even Pitch Black DVD releases.

Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury immediately picks up where Pitch Black left off: Riddick, Jack and the Imam have escaped the desert planet on a skiff, when they are almost immediately boarded by a mercenary ship.
